DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREES – KIDS WORKSHOP WITH GYMPIE CWA
Experienced, long-term and passionate embroiderer and craftsperson Norma Cuddihy of Gympie’s CWA, will delight in showing children how to sew simple embroidery stitches, how to sew on buttons, felt leaves and flowers.
Age: 8yo and up
Project: Each student will be supplied with a “canvas” screened with a Christmas tree. Norma will teach students how to decorate their tree using simple embroidery stitches and embellishing with buttons and felt using a needle and thread. Each student will take home their beautiful Christmas creation, feeling proud of their achievements and new skills! Each tree can be further adorned at home.
