Bruce Weier, master craftsman in all aspects of wood carving and turning creates intricate and exquisitely detailed wood carvings in the style of famous 18th century English carver, Grinling Gibbons. www.bruceweierwoodcraft.com
His impressive collection of tools includes over 300 chisels (some more than 150 years old), and a huge collection of manual planers – he believes that machine-produced carvings lack that special touch.
Bruce enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for woodworking with people at all levels of accomplishment. He has conducted many workshops over the years around south-east Queensland and beyond.
As well as demonstrating throughout Saturday and Sunday at the Gympie Rotary “Ancient Crafts, Rare Trades” Expo, October 31 & November 1, 2020, he will be conducting 2 workshops over the weekend – book now!
